Very large filtering caps are the only occasional exception to that rule, but those will also be from known established manufactures – NO knock off caps…PERIOD!Deluxe and Ultimate kit Signal path caps 4.7uf or smaller will be replaced by WIMA film caps. This is a major upgrade in sonics.Transistors are almost always ON-SEMI. No inferior NEC or no name Chinese knock-off transistors. BackgroundWe have been lovers of all things hi-fi for a very long time. We have repaired and restored 100’s of units over the years. Kits and documentation take advantage of our experience as well as the cumulative experience of others in this hobby. This is a challenge of marketing, sourcing and time, not quality. As of late 2021, supply chain problems are real. We have bought in bulk for standard caps, transistors etc. but occasionally a high volume of orders may lead to absent stock. It’s rare, but occasionally we will have to ship a particular part out separately. If so, we will do so ASAP and notify you when you place your order. In almost all cases any tardy parts will ship to you within a week. Service Manual and/or packing errors do happen. Again, this is rare but it happens. Simply contact us with any missing/mistaken parts and we will ship them to you free and fast. If you are unhappy with the kit for any reason, simply return it for a full refund. Change your mind, return it. Your spouse sold the unit while you were sleeping, return it. Having sold well over 500 of these kits in our first year of doing so, we don’t worry about the rare return. If ordering a deluxe or ultimate kit, only DC offset, Bias and Power supply voltage adjustment trimmers are included. Tuning and other less critical tuners are NOT included.
