  • Pioneer SX-450 Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Caps Transistors

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for a Pioneer SX-450. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-450, and includes upgraded replacement main capacitors and output transistors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or any resistors, though I have the lights listed separately. This includes the following:7 diodes (including four 1N5404 for the main rectifier bridge)50 capacitors (including new main caps)27 transistors (replacements for outputs, drivers, all other transistors except a few in the tuner)Instructions These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The main caps are Cornell-Dubilier 4700 uf 63v caps, and the other capacitors are 105° Panasonic FC, Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, and Wima film caps at the same uf ratings and the same or higher voltage ratings. The transistors are new OnSemi TIP41C, KSC2383YTA, KSC2690, KSC1845FTA, KSA992FTA, and KSA1013 transistors, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is fairly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron and a dim-bulb tester, as well as a little heat-sink compound. The number-one issue with the Pioneer SX-450, SX-550, SX-650, and SX-750 is bad power switch contacts. If your receiver lights flicker when you turn it on and you hear a sort of fizzing sound from the front left, it’s probably bad power switch contacts. This is a challenging fix but the instructions go over how to do this, step-by-step. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $6, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. I have other kits and lots of vintage electronics listed–feel free to take a look!

  • Sansui 2000A Complete Rebuild Kit High-Quality Receiver Recap Transistors

Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui 2000A receiver. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui 2000A, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors. This does not include new lights or fuses. This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are four MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and can blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the four large chassis-mount capacitors, which are replaced with three new Epcos 3300 uf 100v caps and one Epcos 1200 uf 100v cap. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. Replacements for the driver board trimmers and a number of diodes are also included. This kit also includes two capacitors and two resistors to apply some of the “Conrad mods” to the driver board. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Wima film, 4 Supertech axial caps, 2 Kemet safety disc caps, and 4 Epcos snap-in caps. Transistors and diodes are Fairchild/Onsemi. This kit includes a total of 102 parts. The parts for each board are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors and diodes go in, but there are a LOT of parts to replace here, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb. I would recommend a a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, but it’s not absolutely necessary. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $10, and international is $28. If you have any questions, please ask. Looking for more parts? I have power switches, feet, pushbuttons, top case screws, bottom screws, faceplate screws, white LED fuse lamps, blue LED fuse lamps, 6.3v bi-pin bulbs, 8v bi-pin bulbs, 12v bi-pin bulbs, wired 8v 60ma bulbs, new power cords, new main capacitors for the Marantz 1060/2230, wired Pioneer speaker plug replacements, new 630v yellow film capacitors at 38 different values, new 1200v yellow film capacitors at 15 values, a large variety of transistors for vintage stereo repair, new Wima film capacitors for stereo repair, new 250v yellow film crossover capacitors, and more. Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Pioneer SX-850. This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer SX-850, and includes upgraded replacement main capacitors. This does not include new lights, fuses, or any resistors (except for the bleeder resistors for the main caps). This also does not include the driver or output transistors. Correct replacement outputs are MJ21195G/MJ21196G, available here. Please don’t buy any of the fake Chinese transistors on eBay–those are counterfeit and will blow up. This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two main filter capacitors, which are upgraded to 18000 uf 100v Cornell-Dubilier caps. The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly. The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards except the tuner board. Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you’re doing a rebuild. The kit for the power supply includes replacement diodes and zener diodes, which are important to replace, and the protection board kit includes a new Omron relay with standoffs. You will also receive detailed instructions to help this go more easily. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. These are extremely high-quality, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer equipment. Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Panasonic FC, Wima film, and Cornell-Dubilier for the main filters. Transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi. Trimmers (for the amp board) are Bourns. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a receiver is fairly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester.
