Up for sale here is this set of 2 brand new Nippon Chemi-Con 22000 uf 100v capacitors. These are drop-in replacements for the Pioneer SX-1050, SX-1080, SX-1250, SX-1280, SX-5590, SPEC 2, and SPEC 4. They fit the old clamps perfectly! These are the same capacitors I use when I am rebuilding vintage Pioneer gear. These measure 63.5mm in diameter and 118mm tall, and use screw terminals. The screws are included. These are authentic Made in USA capacitors. Please note that the screws on these are thicker than the screws on the old main caps, so you’ll need to enlarge the terminals on the receiver in order to accommodate this. You can drill out the old ring terminals and center mounting piece with a 5mm drill bit if you want, or just replace the old ring terminals, or cut the ring terminals open to make them into spade terminals. Please see my pictures for details. The current batch of capacitors I am selling has 28W32L codes on them, and the boxes are dated 2234, so these were made the 34th week of 2022. A note about installation: Main filter capacitors are usually used to provide the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so one of them will appear to be wired backwards (with positive to chassis ground). This is normal. Before you replace your capacitors, take some clear pictures of the wiring so you will know how to connect the new ones. TX-9500 TX-9100 TX-8100 TX-1000 or TX-800…this may finish off your restoration project ensuring that this part looks and preforms as it should. Although your prized unit may have this part and it may appear to be ok. We encourage you to look at it closely with a light and a magnifying glass. You may see stress cracks and the steel swivel pivot arm could have rust and decay The steel swivel pivot arm is manufactured to specs using high quality Stainless Steel. The Adjustment Cap that is on the rear has been manufactured with more material and the slot is deeper so that you can adjust the tension on the Antenna Bar with out damaging the cap. The spring is an exact duplicate of the original spring and the tension is the same or exceeds the original part. The inside plastic pieces made of Delrin hold the spring in place and prevent it from doing damage to the other inside parts. The Holder Arm that connects the base to the antenna is also made with Delrin. More material was used and is flexible enough to position it were ever you need it on the Antenna! With Normal use this assembly should last a long time. Installation is simple. Take out the 4 screws on the old part that’s damaged. Then put the new part on using your existing screws. Slide your existing Antenna Bar through the holder of the new swivel … and adjust to the position desired. Again, this is a new remanufactured part that is guaranteed to meet or exceed the specifications of the part you are replacing. Pioneer SX-1050 Phono Rebuild Kit AWF-020 Receiver Recap set
Up for sale here is this AWF-020 phono board rebuild set for a Pioneer SX-1050. This is all the parts you need to rebuild a Pioneer AWF-020 phono EQ board in an SX-1050. Over time the phono boards start developing issues with transistors and capacitors, and often the old parts are weak and failing. We will make them new again! This kit includes all 10 capacitors and all 10 transistors. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts. The capacitors are all Nichicon PW and Nichicon KL caps at the same or improved uf and voltage ratings, and the transistors are Fairchild/Onsemi KSC1845FTA and KSA992, which are the correct subs for the original transistors. These are extremely high-quality parts, and they are what I use when I rebuild Pioneer gear. I will include a surprisingly well-written instruction sheet, but rebuilding a board is at least mildly complicated, and you should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. New Replacement Switch Pioneer SX-1250 SX-1050 30hz 8khz Filter for AWM-089
Up for sale here is this brand new 18-pin pushbutton switch. This will work great to replace pretty much all of the old 18-pin pushbutton switches in the 1970s Pioneer receivers. It will replace the multipath and muting switches in the Pioneer SX-1050 and SX-1250 (and SX-5580/SX-5590). It is the same dimensions as the old switches and will fit nicely into the board and into the metal frame. Cleaning your old switches is a waste of time if you can just replace them. This is a normal pushbutton switch–you push it once, it goes in and stays in, you push it again and it pops out. To install this, just bend the tabs in the old metal mount, remove the old switch, put in the new switch, bend the tabs to hold it in place, then solder all the wires.
